What do I need to be listed as a carrier?
Interstate carriers need active MC authority (common or contract) with FMCSA and current insurance. Intrastate carriers need active state authority and the required insurance in the states they operate.
To request loads, you need an active FMCSA license, checked against FMCSA records through a direct API connection.
Do I have to be a moving company?
No. Any FMCSA-licensed carrier authorized to handle household goods can join, including freight companies and carriers hauling autos or mobile storage containers.
Does it cost anything to post my truck?
No. Every account, including the free one, can post unlimited trucks and loads. MDB never takes a percentage of your transactions.
How do I get loads?
Post your truck and let AI matching and alerts (email free, text on paid plans) bring loads to you, or search the Load Board by lane and radius and request the loads you want. The poster reviews your profile and accepts the request.
How do payments work?
You and the load poster agree on terms and pay directly. When extra protection is desired, both parties can complete payment securely through Escrow.com.
Can my drivers use the board?
Yes. Company accounts support multiple users, drivers can be assigned to loads, and there is a separate driver login.
