Load Board

Post and find household goods loads nationwide

The Load Board is where moving companies, brokers, and carriers post the loads they need moved and find the loads they want to haul: container, broker, auto, destination, origin, and self / live loads, plus truck space. Every post is built for household goods, with cubic feet, inventory, services, and access conditions included from the start.

Posting loads is free. We don’t take a percentage of transactions or control negotiations.

FMCSA verified. Requesting loads requires an active FMCSA license, checked through a direct API connection to FMCSA records.

How the Load Board works

Post a load in minutes or find one along your route. You negotiate and book directly with the other party.

1

Post or search

Post a load with origin, destination, dates, cubic feet, weight, payout, and accessorials, or search the board by map, list, or grid within the radius you choose.

2

Request and accept

Carriers request the loads they want. The posting company reviews the carrier’s profile and FMCSA data, then accepts the request from the load.

3

Assign and move

Assign a driver, share the bill of lading and inventory through the platform, and complete payment directly or through optional escrow with Escrow.com.

A load post that tells the whole story

General freight boards leave out what a mover needs to know. On the Load Board, every field a dispatcher would ask about on the phone is on the post, so carriers can price the job with confidence and posters get fewer back-and-forth calls.

  • Origin, destination, and pickup/delivery dates
  • Cubic feet, weight, and payout
  • Load type: container, broker, auto, destination, origin, or self / live
  • Origin and destination services and access conditions
  • Accessorial details
  • Bill of lading and inventory attachments, visible only to the assigned carrier

Six load types, one board

Every load on the board carries one of these badges, so you can see at a glance what kind of job it is and filter the board to only the types you handle.

Container

Loaded mobile storage containers that need to be moved between locations.

Broker

Loads a broker has booked with a customer and needs a carrier to move.

Auto

Vehicles moving with a household or on their own, from a single car to a multi-vehicle shipment.

Destination

A carrier needs the delivery leg handled at the destination: unloading, delivery, or agent service at the receiving end.

Origin

A carrier needs the pickup leg handled at the origin: packing, loading, or pickup so the shipment can be interlined.

Self / live

Self-service or live loads where the customer or another party loads the truck and the carrier provides the transport.

Let the board do the searching

Two features that keep loads coming to you instead of the other way around.

AI load & truck matching

Every load you post is matched against the trucks on the Truck Board with capacity on that lane and those dates, ranked by fit. Carriers see your load at the top of their matches instead of buried in a list.

  • Matches on origin, destination, radius, and dates
  • Weighs cubic feet and weight against open truck capacity
  • Works both ways: trucks for your loads, loads for your trucks
  • Improves as you post more and request more loads

Frequently asked questions

Does it cost anything to post a load?

No. Posting loads is free. MDB does not take a percentage of the transaction or control the negotiation between you and the carrier.

What kinds of loads can I post?

Six types of household goods loads: container, broker, auto, destination, origin, and self / live, plus available truck space. Every load carries a badge for its type so you can filter the board to the types you handle.

Who can see my load details and documents?

Load details and attached documents such as the bill of lading and inventory are visible only to the party assigned to that load.

Who can request loads?

Only members with an active FMCSA license. Every member is checked against FMCSA records through a direct API connection. No active license, no load requests.

How do I know a carrier is legitimate?

Every carrier profile pulls MC/USDOT number, authority status, safety rating, and insurance on file from the FMCSA open API, alongside 5-star ratings from other MDB members. Every member is also checked against FMCSA records through a direct API connection, and members without an active FMCSA license can’t request loads or buy leads.

Can I post loads from my own software?

Yes. Loads can be pushed directly to the board through the MDB API, and Excel and Zapier cover bulk uploads and other tools.

How do payments work?

You and the carrier agree on terms and pay directly. When extra protection is desired, both parties can complete payment securely through Escrow.com.
